State, district, and appellate courts previously turned down his request.
The Supreme Court issued a brief order rejecting the request of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to force the state of New York to place him on the presidential ballot. The state court had ruled that the candidate was not eligible to appear on the ballot due to a dispute over his residency.
After the state court’s ruling, district and appellate courts declined his appeals, Kennedy to made his request to the Supreme Court.
Kennedy suspended his campaign in August, endorsing former President Donald Trump. He has endeavored to get his name removed from certain battleground states.

- For discernment for the justices of the Supreme Court as they prepare to begin their fall term.
- For U.S. election officials at every level to uphold voting laws and ballot processing regulations.
